Hello Barry, welcome to the community. You've come to the right place as all of us here have different stages of various lung disease and we can all help one another along. You are not on your own any more.

Lovelight x

Hi Barry, you're absolutely right this is the best possible site you could have found.

Full of understanding and knowledgeable folk, no shortage of support and helpful information here. Give the BLF a ring on 03000 030 555 for advice both general and specific to any problems that may crop up.

You are right, don't let COPD run your life, as you say you're in charge.

Welcome and good luck. Auntymary xx

Jean,I am also new to this but as i said to Barry it is a great way to get help & advice I am also on the NRAS page it is the best thing i could have done.Matt

Hi Barryc, welcome to the site. There are some marvelous people on here, that will be only to glad to give you some good advice.

So glad you have decided to get your life back,& stop the moping around.I am sure you will be busy, getting things under control.Have you done a rehab course, even on the 02,people seem to manage,at there own pace of course?Do you have a support network? That can be invaluable?Anyway enough of the questions,I am sure there will be others giving good advice.I do feel for you though,it can be hard coming to terms with it all,& we all have our down days, but then pick ourselves up again, maybe a chat to the Doc.about help with medication,if realy depressed.Good luck with it all, remember, one day at a time,

keep your pecker up im not as bad as you try and do a few little exercise like your arms and lifting your legs up and down no cheating ha ha i go to a clinic 2 times a week it takes a lot of

effort for me to go and it is hard but it has done me good breath through your nose and let the air out through your mouth you can get help at home im sure that they can help you to do exercises and help with your breathing control take care

Hello and welcome to all the newbies.

Heres hoping everyone has a lovely Easter.

Take care

Welcome barryc and gingernuts. :)

I am also end stage and an oxygen user. End Stage " apparently " as I don't feel like it. Oxygen only half litre/min. Very low. Apart from getting short of breath and having to think about doing things beforehand I do everything I can as normal as possible. I go to work part time which is what I was doing before I got diagnosed. I get annoyed now and again but most of the time just get on with my life and enjoy it.
