Never made a mistake HealthUnlockders? This is no joke.

Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn't mean

they have to pay for them for the rest of their life'

Sometimes GOOD people make BAD choices.

It doesn't mean they're BAD

It means they're HUMAN!

Hi RC

I agree with the message tho' there are of course exceptions

I made a mistake when I started smoking again after giving up the fags when I was in my late 30's and now I am paying for starting to smoke again ... and will do for the rest of my life..... COPD

That was a BAD choice tho I am a GOOD person.

Sometimes people make bad choices which are just bad because they are unkind, manipulative and self serving ... those choices are about how we affect the life choices and life styles of those we are supposed to care for

We are all human ..so we are responsible for the choices we make and the impact we have on others

Sorry if that a bit strong but I think we all (well or ill) have to be responsible for what we do and its consequences

I'm really pissed off about my COPD but its not as if no one told me smoking was a bad idea .... I just thought I would get some sort of 'warning' and get away with it ...

why did I think this?... it just allowed me to do what I wanted to do at the time

It's a painful truth for me

Well I like to think I am a good person who made a bad choice. And now smoke free for nearly two weeks. This may make me feel more human xxxxx

I'm sure that whatever we did that was bad, it couldn't have been bad enough for us to deserve this.

Hi

When I started smoking it was the normal thing for all and although my parents did not know I first tried at about 11years old, we used to get them from the local tobacconist as some were packed in packs ot two for the kids to be able to afford it.

Over the years we first started because it was the done thing and in the clubs and pubs it did not matter if you did not smoke because by the end of the evening it was like a major fog and everyone was smoking like it of not.

Now where most pubs and clubs have decorated they look nice and bright and some where to go without the Smog.

Take care and kindest regards

Terry

I remember 4 Dominoes in a paper pack for sixpence!

in reply to KingoftheCocktails

I bought mine singly at the news agents on the way to school; tuppence ha'penny each and a penny book of matches for my sixpence snack money.

We used to get 5 Park Drive for 6p. Seems cheap till you realise the true cost healthwise.

Good luck to anyone and everyone who has given up/trying to give up smoking. Our 30 year old son has just told me last night that he has given up smoking before anything nasty happens. I hope he succeeds but it made my day I can tell you. xxxx

Thanks for that one KOTC, in a nut shell we are all human and as I was once told unique, so we are all different and on occassions get things wrong. However it is not always possible to go back and put it right, we can only go forward and hopefully learn from our mistakes and maybe help others not to make similar mistakes. Have a good day

Very GOOD advice

There was no choice involved with my Asthma otherwise I would have returned my life sentence that has always been with me from early childhood visits into hospital.

ps I am bad to the bone lol should my doctor be informed :-)

I was stupid ti start smoking. I was 22 and my neighbour asked me to hold a fag for her while she did something else. i looked at the fag and wondered why people smoked them. I took a drag and that was it.Soon after I started on the rollups. I was hooked. Damn it !
