After bravely suffering, probably more than he told me, this damned ipf, it finally beat him and he died surrounded by his family yesterday. He took a turn on fri night after eating his tea and having his favourite pudding, an ice cream choc nuts cone, and at 6 pm started to struggle. The nurses came and made him comfortable. On sat morning the grandchildren all came to say their goodbyes to him, and with his family all around him he left us to be at peace. I shall miss him like crazy, but the last weeks struggle also makes me feel he has to be better off now,
