As always, first line of advice needs to be the BLF helpline, they have people who can advise on benefits and what to do - 03000 030 555

Most energy companies will be happy to talk to you, if you talk to them first, about deferred payment on your energy bills if you're struggling. Likewise the council, and probably most companies you pay bills to. Have a word with the helpline and/or your local CAB - citizensadvice.org.uk/burea...

Hi Kevin and welcome. Under Health and Safety your employers have a legal obligation to help you stay in work and to make any 'reasonable adjustments' so you can. These are always subject to business needs though. You might be sent to ATOS for their assessment. Are you in a union at work? I went through this with my work and they gave me extra breaks and 8 days extra leave. In the end though I was dismissed through illness.

Good luck.
