Just catching the tail end of Wales this week, very interesting. It's about the new plan for the opt-out donor scheme in Wales.

Just in case anyone is interested.

If anyone is interested in signing up for organ donation you may be interested to see save5.org.uk - (BLF I hope I am not out of order to mention this site?)

I have been signed up for years.I feel that it is imperative that as many people as possible should be donors. Our lives have been saved to a degree with progress and this is an extension of it. Do not deny others of a better life.

I caried a card for years, then a few years later i registered, its so easy, do it then forget about it, as long as you inform family.

I have no probs leaving anything for transplant, but to tell you the truth I'm not sure that any one would want my toenails. That's about the only thing I have left that may be any use. Incidentally how would you go about leaving your body for medical training and research?

Most of what we might donate with our health, and age group, does not go for transplants, but is for junior doctors to practice cutting up. If you are happy with that, that's fine. I just think they should make that clearer to donors.

I've been very lucky to receive a Kidney Transplant, 11yrs ago last week, so it's heart warming to see that your signed up to be donors. Without people like you I'd wouldn't be here and my sons, now 14 & 17, would be without a mother. Xxxxx THANKYOU xxxx <3

Tia is amazing isn't she? Whenever I want to get people to sign up I point them to her site.

I have carried the card for years stating they can take whatever the want, although I know there are two things that are absolutely useless, MY LUNGS. But as the rest of me is in good nick, there might be something they can use.

I think opt out is a good idea but I am sure there will also be people who think otherwise. I am not even sure where my donor card is but if anything is of any use, they can have it.

My Mam died very suddenly 11 years and one week ago at the young age of 63, they used her heart, liver and both her kidneys so 4 people got new lives.

She died far too young but honestly, it did help that there was some good came of it
