I do. Feel grotty when I wake. Seem to sleep on my back and wake up stuffed up and a very blocked up nose which makes me feel I'm suffocating, plus an iritating feeling in my throat. Use Sterimar? which is salt water which I spray up my nostrils then blow, loosens things and it usually blows out, then use nasal spray to clear sinuses. Just ordered a machine which amongst other things humidifies and purifies which may help. We have a oiled fired electric heater on at the moment very low which I think is drying the atmosphere out in the bedroom.

which isn't helping my symptoms.

Roll on summer and open windows.

I don't have Emphysema but I do have the other stuff you mentioned. Like Libbygood I also use Sterimar which was recommended to me by the ENT consultant. At night I also, like some others on this site, leave a tissue soaked with a few drops of Olbass oil next to my pillow. It does seem to help a fair bit. Hope that helps you too. :-)

Me too, feel grotty when I wake like libby as well. Saw GP yesterday who said this "sinusitis" is going round, loads of people with it. he asked me to take doxycycline 100mg because the post nasal drip (mucus back of throat) is dripping into lungs... it won't stand a chance there, ha, I'm straight on it 3 times a day with my lung flute mucus clearing device!

I have a humidifier as well, makes a big difference if we forget to switch it on.

I think it is warmer here today in Somerset.

Used to suffer with excrutiating sinusitis. I cut down on dairy products and within a month my sinuses were clear. I use soya milk, mild cheese and limit my butter intake. I use mayonnaise on sandwiches instead. I use a little semi-skimmed milk in coffee but if I feel a bit congested I drink tea instead for a few days - no milk. This has made such a difference not having had a head cold for over two years. Hope you find this useful.
