Hi has anyone got the G2 concentrator, l phoned Smile this morning a lovely lady answered all my questions she recommended two that were light just for around the house and out visiting l wondered if you have one are they good, and any idea what they weigh in pounds it's hard to get an idea in kilo's.

I think they are around the 3 kilo mark, which is about 7 lbs. If you google Smile you will get an idea of all the portable concentrators available.
I have a Freestyle, which is much lighter, but only goes up to 3 l/m; there is an even lighter one, the Focus, but that only goes up to 2 l/m. As neither of those were mentioned, I am guessing that you are on a higher literage.

Hi having spoken to Smile they just recommended the G2 as a option of two the Freestyle and the G2 so I thought l would ask to see if anyone has used it. I'm on 2 litres and I wanted something that I could use downstairs and out and about. I am a bit worried about how the oxygen is delivered as I have a large Air Liquid concentrator upstairs. Would it make me over breath as I sometimes suffer from Panic disorder. Are you pleased with the Freestyle.
Hi - am tempted to say that if Smile recommend the G2, then they must have their reasons. Is it continuous flow? That would help with panic disorder.
I love my Freestyle; have had one for around 5/6 years and travel everywhere with it, even when flying. It has pulse delivery, i.e. when you breathe in, it releases the oxygen, which suits me and I even use it overnight when I go away ..... even though all the doom sayers tell me that I should not. I obviously nose breathe reasonably deeply when asleep and feel fine in the morning.
I also have a large concentrator at home for indoor use.
I do not know where you live, but if you are fairly near Smile (they are at Greenham Common nr Newbury, Berks), it could be worth a visit to have a look at these pocs in the flesh, as it were.
Do you mean the conservers for the oxygen cylinders the thing that makes your oxygen last twice as long, i.e.you only take in oxygen when you breathe in through your nose. If you do they are about the size of an old type tape cassette machine approx 5 x 5 ins and it fits into a little pocket of your oxygen bag. This enables you to take a tiny oxygen cylinder with you when you visit someone and can last for a few hours rather than one hour.
The tubing of the conserver is attached to the portable cylinder, then the tubing you use is attached to the conserver. The main oxygen cylinder number is pre-set and then you set the conserver figure to your usual oxygen figure, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. It is very easy.
I hope it is the right thing I am talking about.
I have an InogenOne G2 -- is that what you mean?? Mine weighs just short of 10 lbs and although it has five settings ("levels"), each level is only .6 litres of oxygen so the maximum you can get is 3 litres per minute. Also, it only gives pulse oxygen. It was very expensive -- the spare -- and bigger -- battery cost me £300, for example. The concentrator is great for going overseas and providing my oxygen on flights which demand one's own supply. For getting about in the house, I use my tanks!!
It came with a little trolley which broke very quickly; I bought a backpack from Inogen in the US for $99, not the £156 which was the price here...
Hi that's is very heavy a company called Smile which l was told was good from one of the ladies on the blog just said her daughter used the one you have as she said l have a option of 2. They said l could also try before l buy which is good so l think the Airstep Freestyle is my better option, they are sending me info and price which should be here next week. The continuous flow tends to irritate my chest as its sore as l have just had a virus, l have a large concentrator from Air Liquid this is all new to me, l have never seen people use oxygen when l am out, a bit nerve racking when the time comes.
Oxygen in tanks and/or concentrators -- if you can get them -- are a Godsend for going out, believe me!!!
