Hi Rosiej

There are a few devices flutter 01942 701210 and Acappella 01707 333164 also have you tried antimucolytic tablets

Vicky

In addition to Vicky's suggestions you could ask your doctor to refer you to the respiratory physiotherapist to help and instruct you with tapping, huffing and draining positions to help clear the mucus.

Hope you get some relief real soon.

Is this the same as chest draining that my friend had in hospital with pneumonia or a different suction, sorry if this mixes it up but I am curious what is available if needed.

HI Vicki,

Please can you give me the site URL's for the 2 pumps, I have also been told the Flute available in Germany at a cost of £44 ie excellent, reviews are very good on this flute, so I am researching your items as well? Thank you Sue x

Hi Birthday1

Not sure, but think you will find that suction pumps are only used by medically qualified people - could do damage if in the wrong hands. Happy to be corrected, but that was my understanding. Flutter and Acappella are, in my view, mechanised forms of huffing, i.e. makes it a bit easier. Otherwise ask doc for some mucodyne or similar to thin the gunge and it should emerge with less effort - good luck.
