Travel Insurance?

Any ideas of the best travel insurance if one has COPD please? Last year I had to have it for NZ, and it seems because I am on THREE different drugs for COPD, that makes quite a diference. Going to NZ again next year, help please!!

Most of thee bank account insurances have an age restriction, I was amazed when we changed to AGE UK - find the telephone number on the website as although you can do it on the website it is best to talk to an adviser with health problems. Still expensive but cheaper than any other I have found.

Thanks for all that valuable info! Will let my fingers do the talkin! I have automatic travel insurance through my Halifax bank account, but when I told them I had COPD, they said they could not insure that. Helpful !!

Hi, we are going to our son in Canada for Christmas and rang around all of the travel companies, some wouldn't cover my husband, some wanted in te region of £700 for 2 weeks and then I happened upon Holiday Extras, filled in the online form and it came back as £200 for both of us to cover my asthma and his asbestosis. Couldn't quite believe it so rang them and went through the exercise again and yes, we are both covered. Hope you get sorted and enjoy your holiday.

I found one insurance on the BLF list quite reasonable (Unique Insurance) and I have more than one illness. But I would say like most people ,shop around every year as new customers often get better deals than existing customers even when it comes to health factors. Good luck

i have my insurance with my bank and all is ok BUT make sure YOU have a fit to fly test first if not your insurance is VOID ASK YOU DOCTOR FOR a fit to fly test
