Hello. I'm new to this site.

Having read all your blogs you all seem very friendly and caring. Have had COPD for 25 years. Have struggled with it this year. A wheelchair isn't so bad. You get used to it. Am also new to technology. One of my daughters decided I should catch up with the world and persuaded me to get an iPad! Still getting used to it.

Welcome to the site,

That's just like me, we only went on the Internet last Xmas my hubby also bought me an iPad.

It is so easy and has opened up my world so much. I can sit in my comfortable chair and rest it on its stand,, only drawback so far is it does not support flash player so some videos on info sites are not playable.

Have you started on the app store yet? I have over a hundred and fifty, lots of games and some very good COPD apps My Asthma is good for me you can chart your progress every month,

If you like games there is a very good one called Gardens of Time, you create a garden with lots of buildings, it is a hidden object game with some fantastic scenes. Or try Ice Age great with the grand children the characters are great, you help build them a safe place to live, there is also short trailers of the film, the kids love it, so do I.

You will have plenty of help from the lovely people on here,

Ps I have been trying to post this over and over just keep getting page 404 problems with the site again.

Welcome Granmum. I don't even know what an IPad is really. I have heard the term but could not describe it, so you do better than me!

I am also having real problems posting - took 4 attempts on another thread and I kept getting the 404 message too. Hope this one does better.

Hi Granmum, I always said I didn't want a laptop but hubby got fed up of me borrowing his so he bought me one. Now we sit either side of the lounge with our own.

Welcome Granmum, like Aunty Mary I'm not sure what an ipod is - I'm a bit behind when it comes to technology but were would we be without this amazing site, everyone always ready to be helpful and friendly.

Ipads and ipods! ipads are great but dont know about ipods. I like my acer netbook.

People talk about Apple being wonderful. Stick to what I know.

Welcome. I must admit I love all things techie. I've had computers since they first came out so have a desktop, a netbook and and iphone. So excited as I am having an ipad for Christmas!

The real computer expert on this site is Gordon. You will soon get to know him.

Hello Granmum, hope you enjoy this site as much as I am! isn't it a Blessing having grandkids,mine are so much more technological than me,I'm hoping for a Kindle for Christmas! very modern way of reading books,my granddaughter is reading all the 'famous five' books on hers! Carol
