Good Lizzie don't weaken well try not to anyway its not easy but you're doing good. If you have a kindle The Book on Quitting Smoking by Diane Barnes helped me along with the patches and willpower of course! She tells you the pitfalls and how to break them and each time you really want one and resist then the habit is being weakened.

Ok you might put on a wee bit weight with overcompensating on the food, sweets, etc but you'll become so strong a person that you'll tackle that problem also. All of a sudden once you're free of them entirely they don't rule your life anymore. We're all proud of you!

Hi Lizzie

Without sounding patronising - well done. It can be incredibly hard to do and getting to 15 days is a massive achievement.

Some interesting little facts that may help to encourage you!

1,Every ciggie you don't smoke gives you approx an extra 11 minutes of life.

2,After 2 weeks your brain is more adjusted to life wiothout nictotine.

3, Skin sttarts to improve.

4,If your still feeling the cravings - brush your teeth.

5,Food should taste better as well as sense of smell improving.

As always please call if we can help you.

Best Wishes

Jo

Jo thanks soooooo much for the advice. Was wondering if I can help other people in Cardiff with the same problem. I am early retired and would be only too happy to help others.

Would really like to get an informal group going in Cardiff for people who need support, the medical staff do a brilliant job but have no idea what its like on a day to day basis. Lizzie xx
