I know the feeling, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Type 2 Diabetes, High blood pressure, high cholesterol, Tinnitus and Labyrinthitis and I cannot get D.L.A. I failed 5 times and I am constantly in pain because I also have degenerative disk disease. I am 47 and feel about 40 years older. I get no support from any medical professional and there are no self help or support groups in my town that are running during school hours. Most days I try to grin and bare it but I am inside constantly fatigued by all the fighting I have to do to get some help in every way possible. I am not looking for sympathy, no, just UNDERSTANDING and help from the D.W.P and Atos. What saddens me is there are people I know that would be classed as 'undesirables' and they get far more help, I know because they have told me. "Think yourself lucky," I was also told by a stranger because I have a disability bus pass, you don't need one of them........even though I can barely walk and use a stick.......I get strangers looking at me as though I am faking it. I know there are people far off worse than myself as I also have a friend who is dying from a C.O.P illness. As I said it isn't sympathy any of us needs who are fighting the benefit system, it's understanding.

Have u been to the CAB for help in filling in ur forms and do you ever appeal their decisions?!

I had to appeal and fight for over two years before I was awarded and I was constantly ill coz of it, but CAB n other legal advice centres saw that I got wot I deserved. X

Wow that is so sad. Don't know what to say

Me too Hypercat.

oh dear so sad - to DLA AND ATOS ect.

"Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are"

Benjamin Franklin.

i have vircose veins, collapsed arches,Tinnitus, hearing loss, high cholestrol, diabetes 2 & copd ( sightly mild) and I'm only 48 may be if i start now to claim DLA, I may be intitled to get it when I am close to the end game. I mean lets face it the poor government need all the monies they can get out of the least who can afford it.
