I joined recently, a pc learner I felt shy about introducing myself. There was intense dialogue on here at the time so I left things, also my hubby had a stroke that same week.

Also want to thank BLF for all they do for us - I've had bronchiectasis all my life, half lung removed when 23. A lot of extreme illness & clueless GP's in the past... not present ones. I was never assigned to my own specialist and lung clinic until 2002, I'm sure this happened because of BLF's continual work raising lung health awareness/status with GP's etc. This has made a huge difference to me so a Big Thank You Everyone at BLF.
Now, I am excited about improving lungs and joint inflamation with nutrition, food combining and raw green juices - No, not a dogmatic nutcase !... I like fish n chips too ! It's just I find it is helping me a lot, costs nothing and my crippling joint/muscle pain gone,...won't let this go.
It's amazing to see so many people here with the same breathing challenges as me. I am very pleased to meet you all.

I also have bronchiectasis, and severe asthma, (not sure which came first, lol) and although I am fairly new to this site, I have learnt so much , and everyone is so helpful , I wish I had found them long ago !
So glad you have been welcomed and helped too, the BLF certainly is an amazing organization.

Thank you all for your welcome and the helpline number Jo. hubby is improving and can now walk slowly, we have just come home from the stroke clinic, 30 miles away, loads of tests and CT scan on his head, so a long tireing day, nice to get back. thanx again for your good wishes all of you.
You're most welcome sweet. It is a two way street and you have given me plenty of great ideas too. I also agree with you about the help of BLF and all the lovely peeps on this site. Just tx quickly this morning - going to hydropool - then off on hols, so I will reply pm when I get back if that's ok.
