I would very much like to compare notes regarding the legacy of this type of tb as at the moment I have more questions than answers - the biggest one being why, if I am cured, can I not breathe?

Sorry I have nver heard of this. I would have thought that whilst you might be 'cured' there has been some damage done to your lungs that isn't reversible I am afraid. You migth want to give the BLF helpline a call.

i have just had a lump removed from my neck which after alot of testing before the op and further testing on the lump when removed it was confirmed it was not cancerous but enviromental tuberculosis.i have yet to have further tests to see if tuberculosis is present in my lungs
i am very baffled as to how i have it and not too sure of treatment / outcome ?
