4,yrs ago i was diag with a cronic back problem at times i have to go in my wheel chair, i take m.s.t morphine for this problem, then july last year was told i hhad c.o.p.d & bronchitise, i had waited 13 months for appeal as failed atos medical went to appeal & i felt i was facing a jury, i was denied d.l.a & basicaly told i was lying & my son as he was my main carer, this was heart breaking as i can bearly walk or get a breath, i have been with my partner 15yrs & weboth felt i should move to kent so he can help look after me,i dnt regret leaving myhome town but its mostly due to the goverment wanting ppl back to work who are paainly not able, i had a lady from c.a.b who did not say anything to help me mysel & son were shocked by it all, at one point i just broke down as the appeal would not let me or my son explain what my daily life was like, i was told to go into waiting room & calm down, then c,a,b lady came out & told me i was to stop this crying or theyd send me home i had to make my mind up, a few mins later we went back in & it was no better, the letter they read to us from my g.p was nothkng to what he read to me & my son a few mths before, i got home & went to bed in an awful state due to this, it was fri so i copudnt call my g.p till monday i got app for weds, my son came with me, we told him about the letter & he swears he didnt not send that to them, again he showed us on his computer the letter he sent about my back problems 7 breathing that i can not work id be to much of a risk of having a terrible fall as id have to use my sticks as no energy to wheel my chair, i am so at a loss what to do & this isnt making my health any better. id be grateful for any advice. sorry its such along note.

hi betsyann, i went to a tribunal to get my dla i have to say they were lovely they asked me questions and let me answer the lady from the disability bit gave me some useful suggestions to make things easier i certainly dont think you should have been treated like you were. Have you got a copy of the gps letter i got one and sent a copy to them and took a copy with me - just in case! If you send things while you are appealing send them to the tribunal address not the dwp there is a video on you tube all about tribunals type in dwp tribunals and it should come up dont give up keep trying good luck xx

Get more help do not take it from them

Hi I agree with the above comments. Get your MP involved. I did when my mother was 80 and being evicted. She was treated disgracefully and refused a flat with a Housing Association. I wrote to my MP and and within a week they gave her a flat which had been emply for 6 months! All the best and take care of yourself. x
