Hi Everyone

Well, no one can says the weather in Britain isn't interesting!

Only last week i had my hot water bottle and was battling to get the fire on!

This week we are looking at having the hottest week this year, hot humid days can really affect lungs and breathing. Some tips that may help from our website can be found on the link below:

Hi Jo

Thanks for the reminders.

Hi Gordon, its good for you to drink lots and stay hydrated. I find hot drinks excellent to warm up in cold weather ;)

When its very hot I stay inside at the hottest time of the day and go out early in the morning or late afternoon or evening. Keeping the curtains drawn and windows closed on the sunny side and open windows on the shady side, it can make all the difference.

Stay cool all ;)

I love this weather. I always feel so much better - especially when I can just lie on a sunlounger!

I prefer this warmer weather to the cold damp rainy weather for sure.

Some other self help aids I use during hot weather when I am travelling away from home:

I always carry my cool downz**, a frozen lunch box ice pack, a bottle of water, a battery operated hand held face fan and a small pump action spray bottle filled with water (can get these in boots). They all make life just a little more comfortable in the heat.

You will wonder how you ever managed without your cool Downz once you've used them. I can recommend. In the US they are a very reasonable price, in the UK not, but well worth having one in very hot weather conditions.

Keep cool all and enjoy the weather, topping up on the vit D early morning or late afternoon.

I've longed for this warm weather. The Dr said that when it got warm I may lose my cough completey, I may stop bringing gunk up, I may even be able to breathe normally. None of that's happened. My cough's upped the ante a bit so has the production. I am breathing very well but not as I would have done, say, last summer. Still, for me personally it's better than winter. I bought a water purifier that I can put in the fridge and I'm drinking that and topping it up regularly. I am indoors at work during the hottest part of the day too, though we don't have air conditioning so I'm drinking cold water there all day too.
