Interesting you should ask this as a couple of years ago we had the roof of our garage replaced and we had to pay extra for a special removal and disposal firm. As I rarely used the garage myself it did not affect me.
However I have since found out that some of the "Artexing" has asbestos in it and of course many homes may still have this. Might be worth looking into this a bit more for if it is absolutely true then we need to be aware of it
