I hope everyone is feeling well today - the Met office has issues a Yellow Alert for many parts of the country today for the lovely rain we are having!

Anyway - on to the money saving tips, today on the Money Saving Expert website there is a link for cheap contact lenses - basically big brands are used by big retailers but under the reatiler name so you can get the same lenses for cheaper!

Another link is the news that Ryanair passengers flying to Spain this summer could end up paying extra if airport fees in Spain are increased.

Today I phoned the bank because I didn't want to pay the amount they are now charging for home contents insurance. My insurance is due to renew later in the month. I just said I don't want to pay that much and if you can't do me a better deal I will have to consider going elsewhere. I got a £30 discount for same cover and was advised to call them every year if the premium goes up and ask for a better deal and also ask for loyalty discount. I am happy
