Those of you who have read my posts will know me - I have COPD and although Flare Ups are not quite as often, breathless has increased, Dr Says maybe that;s cardiac.
So 2019 I spent close on a year being tested for lung cancer, CT Scan after CT scan. I remember the final letter on the.
Mr "I think your abnormal shadow has gone, so i took your abnormality to radiographer and he says it's more lung scaring and I agree" - An I missing something.
Anyway lockdown came and lockdown was eased.. Then I was after 6 months diagnosed with Bladder Cancer for which, I am still having treatment. Can't get any worse.. hmm
I went to Dr with nose problems, while there I asked her to look at my toe which had turned black and hurt. she referred me to dermatologist - seems i probably have cancer (skin) in my big toe would you believe, she referred me on the two week rule.
So how do I keep sane, not easy, those who know me know I bury myself in garden but it's winter.
So I have gone back to paining as I used to be half decent and am now in middle of a painting.
Not been on for a while, as you can see, been kind of busy,

That's quite a story Ern. I hope your bladder and skin cancers can be successfully treated. In the meantime it's good to know you have taken up an old pastime while waiting to get back in your garden next year. Seasons best wishes Carole xx

Thank you, I have had the treatment needed, I am going with tow on new Years Eave, I could have gone this week but miles away at 8am, not fit to drive at that time, to tired, So I am booked in at my local hospital. I hope you also have a Chistmas x
Good grief Ern you have certainly been through the wringer. I am sorry to hear of all this , sometimes it just feels like nothing can go right. I was wondering if you have any interest at all in Bonsai plants. I know they sell little Bonsai kits nowadays, something to work on during the winter months? Not that I know a whole lot about them. I hope things get better Ern. Thinking of you. xx 😊👋
Thank you - My daughter loves Bonsai and I grow Japanese Maple as Bonsai as no room to let them go, I have a pic somewhere of one, I will re-answer this message with pic if I can find it. Do I see a Ficus and a Parlour Palm in your photo.

You’re having and have had a horrible time. As a rule of thumb,we never ever say that things can’t get any worse.they can. My brother in law has been having treatment for bladder cancer.It’s been a hard road for him.
He was reviewed this Monday.
In the New Year,his surgeon is going to attempt to repair the hole in his bladder.
Then in another procedure they’ll attempt to fit a stent into his kidney.
I hope things go better for you than it has for him.
Thank you. my cancer is aggressive but, treatable because None Muscle Invasive. I had TURBT op to remove the tumour, it can come back so a procedure every 4 months, Hope your Brother is OK, I wonder if TURBT caused the tear .
I haven’t heard of TURBTAs far as I know he had 2 courses of Chemo,as the tumour reappeared in the same place.theysaid that it was good it wasn’t in the muscle.
It would be gd to see yr painting whn in finished.plod on.i picture myself as being on a tennis court,poised with racquet - " anything else wanna throw at ??"( meaning are there any more diseases left that i dont have?! Take them on as they arise.i hope painting relaxes u xxx
Thank's when finished I will upload one, I used to rush but now I get as good as I can. yea it does realx, also at night in bed, I watch art on you tube or a Film on Netflix, keeps mind busy x
What a time you have been going through Ern. I do hope the treatment has been successful and you can now move on. I used to do a little painting /sketching years ago and keep thinking of taking it up again aa I used to enjoy it. Like you I love the garden and spend alot of time outside in the good months, roll on spring lol. I wish you all the best for Christmas and the New Year x
That's a bummer! But think positive, I have a friend who since 1998 has had breast cancer twice, skin cancer, bladder cancer and cancer of her peritoneum (lining of the stomach cavity). She has beaten the first 4 and is being successfully treated for the last one ( for 11 years)!
You've certainly been through it these past couple of years, let's hope the new year sees things getting better for you. Please keep u as updated. I can only say I hope your treatment goes well and I’m so glad you have your hobbies to keep you sane , coincidentally hobbies that I share with you I love your maple , I have 3 in pots outside but two are about 10’ tall , in massive pots and getting difficult to move around , I never thought of growing as bonsai 😃 I’m going to give it a go 🤙. I really hope 2022 brings some good news for you and that you have a nice relaxing Christmas xx
Thank you. I have one in the garden, that's all I have room for, wonderful trees - My daughter loves bonsai that's how I started, growing for her,, I also like palms, I got one to flower this year and a huge flower scented on Cordyline. Have a good one this Christmas
I had a small maple growing from seed under one of the big ones this autumn, I’ve covered it in mulch hoping it survives the winter , if it does I’ll try it with that but now I’m thinking I should have brought it indoors 🤦🏻♀️ Well done with the Cordyline 😃 x
Good luck with the seedling, let me know, they are very hardy and worthwhile, I have several of this years plants outdoors and probably they will be fine......Thank's the Cordyline flower was special, if you have not seen it, I will show you in an answer and the scent, wish i could bottle it.. Hope you get treatment for your skin cancer soon as your bladder cancer is being treated already (I've had a few bouts of bladder cancer which were treated quickly and effectively - hope the same for yours🤞). All best wishes for Christmas and the New Year

Had to cancel my Lung function tests
It would have helped to exercise my arm and shoulder following lung surgery in order to avoid frozen shoulder
