I had my third primary Covid 19 vaccination just over 8 weeks ago, due to having a severely weakened immune system am now waiting for my "Booster" or fourth.

I have had no word as to when I will receive this, have tried several contact numbers without luck I had letters from both my Surgery and NHS for my third vaccination but nothing was mentioned about the fourth as to when I was due to receive it I received my last by presenting my letter at a walk in centre.

I had my 3rd primary dose too and was told I’d be called in 6 months too. However I was reading on the NHS site the other day that our booster after 3rd primary dose could be within 3 months?

“If you have had a 3rd dose of the vaccine, you can get a booster dose from 3 months after your 3rd dose.

Your GP or hospital specialist will invite you for your booster dose when it's due.”

This is pasted from NHS site

I thought the 3rd Vaccination was the booster, I've been told we will have a booster annually like the flu jab. I've not heard of a 4th one in 6 months.

Hi Triahe, a 3rd primary dose was given to about 1.4 million of the population who were severely immune compromised and 2 doses might not have been enough for them. They (myself included) will have a 4th vaccine that will be their booster.

Somebody put a link to a letter to gps from the NHS. It said the immunosupressed would get the booster in 3 months.

Thank you to all the friends who responded. It seems that for Immunosuppressed the 4th "Booster" vaccination is 3 months after the third, I shall await the notification.

Following my third pfizer I was told it would be 6 months before booster was needed.
