Not been the best week of my life! I wasn't well.My daughter came round and was horrified with my low oxygen levels.I was admitted to our local hospital and have been on oxygen ever since. Surprisingl how many others are in here.No idea what's caused it!

Maybe Aingeful it's perhaps just your body saying that maybe supplementary oxygen even at a very low dose may be the way to go for the future,i hope it isn't and that some fleeting bug has knocked the wind out of you but even if it is,it's no big deal as many on here manage very well with our little friend O2.Get better and home soon.

Best wishes Ski's and Scruff's x

Thank goodness your daughter noticed. One of mine rang today to say she has Covid, been so careful as she is asthmatic.

I have sent her an oximeter so she can check her SATS .

Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.

Hi Aingeful. Sorry to hear you have ended up in hospital, but you are in the right place for assessment of your oxygen levels. Trust you are feeling better now and it won't be long before you are home. Sending best wishes & hugs xxx❤️🤗

Thanks! I couldn't have sorted this myself.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad week Aingeful and hope they soon have you back to rights. Sometimes it just seems like it must our turn to have a bad time for a while. Last weekend my bathroom flooded, this weekend my central heating broken down and I'm freezing. Well, a bit chilly anyway. 🙁 x

I've "liked" your post but felt sorry for you. If its not our bodies letting us down its our gadgets? As the years have gone by, so has our ability to fix things!

in reply to Aingeful

Gadgets can be easily fixed or ditched, bodies are more of a worry. I hope they have yours working again soon. 😘

So do I, I feel like trading myself in for a fitter model!!

in reply to Aingeful

Trouble is, they don't make them now like they used to do. 😂 When they get you fixed you'll be better than new. 😘

So sorry to hear that Don. I trust someone came pronto to fix the flood and the heating system? you certainly don't want that breaking down in mid winter!! I hope you didn't suffer too much from the cold. Wrap up warm and take care. xxx❤️😊

Oh Don that is awful. Get it sorted . You feel the cold more when you are old . Well I do any way and I am blaming my age as the thermometer says it's a lot warmer than I think, obviously not accurate!

You've had a week similar to mine, Don. Air-conditioner in car died (Compressor) ...$1135.00. Then a leak under my kitchen sink requiring an entire new faucet assembly $485.00. I feel such gratitude for being able to have them repaired. (I dare not complain.)

🙄🙄🙄.

It can be alarming for others to see your oxy sats being so low. Mine are awful if I bend to tie my shoe… it does recover after a minute or two. Get well soon

So sorry you're confined and not well, Aingeful. I agree with Skischool. Oxygen has been a definite plus for me. I can't explain it, because my oxygen transfer (DLCO) numbers have dropped by 12 since I began using oxygen three years ago. but my oxygen needs have lessened. I began 15 hrs x 2 lpms daily when walking at a normal pace, and 3 lpms if oxygen dropped when cleaning, bending, etc.. I rarely required 3 lpms. I have only ever needed oxygen when walking, never when sitting. When Covid came along, I stopped using my poc when out shopping due to the poc making oxygen from the air in the space in which it is being used. I didn't want to chance breathing in the virus. (One can hope, but never really know for certain that folks are staying in when ill.) My trips have been of shorter duration, of course, and I do not rush. I definitely need access to oxygen when I walk quickly or for long distances, and when I do my house cleaning but my oximeter shows definitely improvement. Best wishes for a quick recovery and return home. J
