Don't worry about the tickly cough, they come and go in the best of us. Could be sinus or Gerd. Good luck with the Doc!

Oh and don’t worry about anything progressing in such a short time. Simply doesn’t happen, unless you had a serious dose of pneumonia or COVID. Get your questions down for review with the doc and let them know how you’re feeling. A short course of Xanax might give you a break away from these thoughts that are consuming.

Bryan I have been reading your previous posts and I really hope you get the help you need with your health anxiety. It is clear you are massively hyper vigilant around your health and becoming concerned when there is absolutely no need to be. Having a tickly cough for a couple of days is something everyone will experience and means absolutely nothing. If and I believe it is a huge IF you do have COPD it is extremely mild and is unlikely to be affecting you to any degree. Certainly the amount you can walk etc doesn’t indicate anything to worry about. Taking medications if prescribed, eating healthily and exercising all reduce rate of COPD progression and also are good for your general health.

Likewise you are concerned about heart rate. Well mine is always over 100. I have had various tests that show nothing wrong and it is just part of my makeup. Checking your heart rate and oxygen levels obsessively will not be helping you. Being anxious will be sending rates higher in relation to heart rate.

I am genuinely worried for you and you must work with doctors on your health anxiety to get it under control. Maybe CBT would be helpful?

I read your post with interest as I find a lot of posters on this and other forums seem to have health anxiety but I've never been brave enough to mention it.

I think you meant to reply to bryan45735 as opposed to me 😂. He is the one making the posts around health anxiety.

Hi Bryan sometimes breathing exercises like pursed lipped breathing can help calm down the cough and settle you

Hope everything went ok at the doctors.
