So here's myself with my 15 year old stepson Stan. He loves nothing more than sitting in his room playing on the xbox etc etc, only ever making an appearance for food or drink, typical teen πŸ˜„ I'm so pleased he decided to come for my first training walk with me and we managed 1.89 mile. Everyone is being absolutely fantastic with support, I've added on Facebook now what I'm aiming to do and already have a friend I've not seen since school wanting to take the challenge up also and raise money for BLF 😊 I didn't want my medical info on social media, I didn't want people feeling sorry for me or it seem I'm looking for sympathy, but now I have I'm so glad as the awareness and support people are willing to give is out of this world πŸ˜€

Thank you to all of you here for the support and motivation also 😊❀

I got this πŸ’ͺ🫁

😘

How good that your stepson got off his proverbial and joined you on your walk. Will have done him a world of good too. Congratulations to you, 1.89 miles is no mean feat, you have "got this".

πŸ˜‚ yes it would definitely do him some good, bless him he does have a few extra pounds but doesn't want to do anything about it! πŸ™„ He was terrific, done so well, this may just be what I need to get him out walking with me a lot more, helping us both 😜

Thank you so much, I have my inner voice asking me 'what have you done' πŸ˜„ but I keep telling that voice to be quiet πŸ€«πŸ˜‚It's definitely given me something to think about other than what I've been diagnosed! 😊πŸ’ͺ❀

You’re welcome Breathe 73. I’ve just been reading your profile and like you was really ill in December 2019 with a chest infection or was it Covid? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Fast forward to November 2020 after CT scan and lung function tests, I was diagnosed with ILD resulting from an autoimmune condition, Lupus. Like you, I’m struggling to come to terms with the diagnosis which is now compounded by the need for me to apply for ill health retirement and the fact that as I’m now immunosuppressed, I’ll probably need to go back to shielding after July 19th πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈThink I just wanted to say, you’re not alone! But suppose it was rather a long winded way of saying it! πŸ€ͺπŸ˜‚ Take care x

Thank you, I'm proud of myself and stepson, he hates any kind of healthy activity πŸ˜„ so fab to get him out, although since this walk I've not been feeling great, extremely tired, slept for over 10 hours Sunday night and haven't been able to get to work, extremely frustrating πŸ™ƒ Not giving up though πŸ’ͺ😊
