Blood tests

I've been having abdominal pain for about 4 weeks now. In the last week or so the pain has go into my back below my right shoulder. I've had 2 doctors appointments and been given tablets for a stomach ulcer but they've made no difference. The doctor has had a good feel of my abdomen and everything was fine. I had 3 lots of bloods taken and they were fine. I'm wating to go for an ECG and chest x ray. If there was anything serious would this of shown up in the blood tests? Thanks for any help.

I can sympathise , I have had stomach pain and bloating too....two visits to the gp, examined, blood test, phone appointment ...lansoprazole which helped. Pain relievers and ant acids .But thankfully it’s now nearly gone .

I often wonder if I contracted COVID before tests were available , and this was a long term side effect .

Keeping my fingers crossed for you .

Did they check your gallbladder? Google it and see if you recognise the symptoms.

I dont think they've checked my gallbladder unless the blood tests showed them something. But yeah my symptons are quite similar to gallbladder problems. Thanks for the advice.

I don't think gall bladder problems show up on a blood test. Although an infection might. Gallbladder issues would most likely need a scan as you could have stones, which can cause colic type pains and these you would also feel in your back. See if things change when you eat certain things like fatty foods. Check if you have more pain or less if you stay off those. Go back to your doctor and request a scan. Good luck.
