Hi to all who replied to my post, the doctor has taken me off amlpodine & I'm going onto Ramipril, hope I'm OK on these? She said I had amlpodine in 2019 & had to stop then?? Do why put me on it again? 🙄

I have been on Ramipril for over 2 years and not had any problems but we have to take into account that we all react differently, I hope that they work for you. 👍👍

Hi Linda. My husband was on Amlodipine. The GP changed him to Ramipril, saying it was a better drug; has more protective properties. He has been fine on it.

Hi lindadoodie I was on ramipril for 4 years worked really well for me, so much so I'm in a kind of remission for kidneys, idiopathic nephrotic syndrome for the last 2 years. I hope it helps you too

Ah very good at least your feeling better ie kidneys, I've not started on the drugs yet as I'm monitoring my BP for a while first it's not really that high.

Hope this works for you. I tried quite a few before going onto Bisopralol. Amolodpine is known for causing swollen ankles and if you were taken off it before your doctor shouldn't have put you back on it, sadly alot of gp's dont check your records. I have to write everything down and tell them what I cant have. I am sure you will settle down but dont be afraid to go back if you need to x
