I’ve read that breathing exercises help with many lung conditions. I’ve COPD and take Braltus and ventolin if needed. Does any one have knowledge of Powerbreathe and Flutter devices, please? I’d really like to do more for my health and feel less constricted with breathing. With many thanks. xx🤗

I would say yes in that when I first started I couldn't blow up a balloon for toffee but with perseverance I got quite good at it. It certainly did no harm and only costs a small amount of money compared to some of the very expensive aids advertised some of which are of dubious benefit.
I use a AerobiKA that the hospital gave me, I started out with a flutter that my GP gave me but find it easier with a AerobiKA. I take ventolin then saline in my nebulizer first.
Hello Egpa, Thankyou for your reply. So pleased that AerobiKa works for you. I’ll look this device up. I feel a little more optimistic with the many solutions. x 🤗
A physio told me that blowing through a straw into a litre bottle full of water has a similar affect to a flutter device. If you are in the UK you GP should be able to prescribe one fo you. Word of caution if you suffer from lung bleeds a flutter device or blowing into water is not recommended.
Hi Lupino ... if you look on facebook , a company has been running adverts for " Flutter" devices for ages as well as a small portable version of the Nebuliser ...I have both ... - have a look and see what you think . I have had an older " flutter" device for some years and still works quite well to loosen the dreaded Mucus and the larger Nebuliser electric machine when things get really bad with the breathing bit ... so , good luck , -= both devices work ... !😃
I use a flutter device if I get congested. I also bought a devise from Amazon with little balls in it. You suck through a tube to make the balls jump up to exercise and improve your lungs.
Hello Chriskho, Thanks for your reply. Certainly regular use of some breathing device to ease congestion seems the way forward. Stay well and safe. x 🤗
Hello Chockaway, I’ve found more information on Flutter on the British Lung Foundation website. It would seem to help clear mucous in the lungs by providing positive pressure and vibration in the lungs using this hand held device. I never stop learning! X 🤗
