Hidden in the information in Bkin's second link."In England if you have formed a support bubble with another household, that counts as one household."

So depends if one of you is living alone (or only with dependent children under 18)

I am living alone and am in a support bubble with my daughter and her family. That means that they can visit me on Boxing Day even though I am in. tier 3 and they are tier 2. I think that the same applies to you.

Nicola Sturgeon has burst that bubble, we are to go into level four for approximately three weeks starting on Boxing day. This is due to this new strain COVID infections aggressive nature and as yet not known how far it has truly infected the population.

Down south I believe is to have the same Tier 4 restrictions, It`s hell I know but as one Prime Ministers slogan once said " We are all in it together" As for the covidiots, thou are a very small part of something far bigger than you, This is not made up and your irresponsible preaching is border line favourable to the virus,, certainly not to the welfare of the greater population OF our country.

I wish all our friends on this site a very merry (as possible) Christmas, and a healthy happy New Year,

On Boxing Day we’re going right from level 1 up to level 3. This new mutation of the virus sounds more scary than it was before. Not reassured by some politician on the radio at lunchtime saying the virus is out of control. Wishing you as happy a Christmas as possible too 🎄

Yes, Matt Hancock has been saying the same in Scotland, so much so we are going to Tier 4.

Still Xmas can still be jolly as long as the telly didn't go on the blink this year.

Merry Xmas to you W e can do it, so long as my wife stays away from B&Q!!

It does get more complicated. I had planned an overnight stay with my bubble. I have woken up with my grandchildren for so many years.

Perhaps this is time just to be grateful for those that I had and look forward to future ones. My best wishes to everyone for a Merry Christmas wherever you are. Grace
