The light at the end of the pandemic tunnel is getting brighter. This week, the first health care workers will receive the first doses of an FDA-approved coronavirus vaccine. Soon, so will other frontline workers in health care and beyond, and residents of long term care facilities.
The availability of life-saving vaccines, however, will not necessarily result in people getting fully vaccinated.
For the first vaccines that will reach the public, everyone who gets a first dose must have a second dose within a few weeks to get full protection against severe COVID-19.
So you are basically saying Americans have no place here and US news is not welcome? A rather small minded opinion. I bet you take US sourced or patented medicines though.

Your question is: 'How can we make sure people get the second vaccine?' When you have the first jab they inform you of the next date and also give a small vaccination card.
Not my question, the question of the article. A piece of card, put away safely and forgotten about, 3 weeks is ample time to forget. It really needs a register of some sort to follow and chase up those that miss their appointment, especially as those over 80 years who may also be prone to lapses of memory.
I wish I had a pound for every time I have put something away (hidden) safely and lost it until discovering it accidentally, blaming gremlins

I watch CNN, which reports deaths in the US topping 300k & cases over 16.5million. Thanksgiving hasn’t helped. Yet too many Americans seem to view mask-wearing as an assault on their freedom. Thanks Hanne62, it massive over there. My bro in law is 84 now so I can't help but be concerned. He'd certainly wear a mask though, so would his 2nd son who commutes to NY daily to teach.
From what I gather, your contacted directly by your GP for your first vaccination and I’d predict that you would then receive a reminder. GP’s send messages for all appointments that are pre-booked so as to prevent a wasted appointment and since this is a fragile vaccine, they will want to ensure that it is used and not wasted

Not really observant - it’s just a fact. I appreciate only too well what this drug was used for. I do agree with your point ‘it’s a no win argument. You either have trust in this vaccine or you don’t’.Cx
