Hi all I have been posting replies in the wrong place sorry. Came out of hospital Friday evening. I had 3 days of IV Tazocin and sent home with a week’s course of ciprofloxacin, my breathing was no better when I got home although it is getting better by the day I have enlisted the help of an acupuncturist, according to blf it can help, I’m just waiting for an appointment.

Thank you x

I am just finishing two weeks IV tazocin. Have had to take antihistamines with it because it gives me a rash. Luckily I have only needed 4 sessions of IV in my life but each time I always say that it takes my breathing almost a month to get back to normal afterwards. It is the same this time. I did not go in to hospital tight and breathless but I am now.I do not have asthma or copd but think that the ab reduces the amount of fluid in my lungs so much that my lungs find it difficult to work. As the amount of fluid increases my breathing eases up. Drs don't believe me.🤷‍♀️

Oh I know exactly where you’re coming from! Doctors don’t believe me either, after nearly 3weeks on merependem my breathing was dreadful, the worst reaction ever! I seem to be ok ish with tazocin thankfully, but I’m on ciprofloxacin now and it does make me nauseous, hope all is well with you x

I hate taking cipro. It makes me feel sick and gives me indigestion but needs must sometimes. I cut them each in two and have them with bread or mashed potato

Excuse the spelling mistakes as i am losing feeling in fingertips and keep missing or losing all i tx. X

Thank you. The docs can't agree with the cause of the bleed but I am sure that it is not bronch related but caused by a new drug I started in Sept for my heart. It relaxes the veins. I had bleeding in my nose and eye at the same time. Now all I have to do is get them to believe me.

Hi littepom cheriebobo here. Yes. Thats the hard part convincing tbe drs thatyou know ur own body's reaction to meds. Ican tell within 20mi n but I'll be Told thats impossible. They keep telling me my bleeds are because my veins are vey weak. So 3 wks ago i doubled up my night time esemoprozole. As my anxiety levels were through the roof with the constant coughing blood, especially through night and also with my sisters sudden death of metatasised lung cancer. So thankfully. Fingersxx I haven't had one for3 wks. Now dr want me to go back to normal dose. And im terrified bleeding will start again. So at moment im staying on double dose. I do hope ur getting better. As thanks to you i am being as proactive as possible. Xmargarita.

I sometimes think we have to figure these things out for ourselves and that it may be our solutions make more sense than theirs.
