When he'd finished chasing the squirrel he wouldn't have realised he had left you behind. No wonder he was shaking, he probably panicked and was frightened he had lost his new mum. Bless him, I can picture him contentedly wrapped up in his blanket after his walk.

Lovely picture.

Hes still in his blanket next to me ..love him πŸ’œ

Hes a silly boy not coming back sooner then he wouldn't have got in a state like he did.. hopefully learned from it not to go so far next time he feels brave πŸ˜‚πŸ’œ

It's not great is it lol ... first one I have lost and it had to be my own kn#b that went off after something...he took it a little too far for my liking as was very sheepish after πŸ˜‚ πŸ’œ

Our little border used to disappear down the woods but she always seemed to know where we were. But I still worried. Little monkeys. πŸ’– x

I love that photo of Stan the Man, those floppy ears are divine I’d want to stroke them all day. It really cheers me up seeing your photos

I can see him now in his blanky all warm contented and safe after his scare, silly boy let’s hope he’s learnt and won’t go chasing squirrels blocking everything else out.

Love and kisses to Stan the Man and hugs to BB

More ear scratches, chin chucks and tummy rubs for the lost Stan the Man who found his way back to his wonderful new family. Love his floppy ears. My lurcher dog Laddie's ears used to flop like that as a pup, until he learned to control them.

Thankyou Ergendl I love lurchers and with a name like Laddie he sounds just beautiful πŸ’œ

Sadly, he went over the rainbow bridge at the age of 17 in 1999. Much loved and greatly missed, but we had a great time together, even if he did get himself into lots of pickles.

Lovely to see Stanley enjoying life so much. Does he wear a collar and tag with your phone number on just in case?

Blackbird8 profile image
Blackbird8 in reply to Smoggy1990Boggy

He most definitely does wear a tag with our mobile number on and our business name ... he has many collars with the same information..its actually illegal not to ..his chips changed to our name and as self employed dog walkers we do the same for all our customers regarding tags πŸ™‚

Smoggy1990Boggy profile image
Smoggy1990Boggy

I share lost and stolen dogs regularly and so many have no collar or identification tag as you say required by law like microchipping. One day one of our new rescues disappeared, fortunately she had her collar and tag on with our number we were panicking as was our dog. I don't understand why anyone thinks its acceptable to buy an animal and treat them badly. Stanley is clearly loving his new life.
