I have Bronchiectasis and was advised to shield in the last lockdown, however this time I have not received a letter or email. Should I shield or not?

Any advice please

I’m in the same position. Luckily for me, my employer has taken it that as I shielded previously that I will this time but I have had no formal confirmation. The guidelines have been published but I do feel that they are a little ambiguous.

I haven’t received anything, email or letter. I had to shield last time so I’m confused. Do you think I’m no longer on the shielding list?

Hi you should be still on the list,if you have a doctors letter from before or a phone number to confirm from local council helpline previously try them or fill in a questionnaire on gov.uk website in case you got missed off.hope this helps and you stay safe

If you were critically vulnerable on the last shielding then you should be shielding now as advised by my consultants secretary and my doctor as they say they’re is no need for a letter .

Hi it seems that people are getting shielding notifications by email this time not letter. Just a thought have you checked your “junk emails” in case it’s gone straight in there? Barbs x

I had email letter last week and letter in the post today. Maybe if they didn’t have email address for you you will get a letter this week.

Think the letters are still on their way.

Didn't receive a text but did receive letter this morning.

Good luck.

Hi Mucusmom, I have received a letter from the Government, however, this time we only shield if we wish to. I have not been out so far but I shall go out if I feel safe and I feel like it. Take care of yourself, Maximonkey
