I've been on Trimbo inhaler for 2 years, the first 18 months I found it better than my old one, but these last 2 months I don't feel any benefit from it. Do you think your body needs a change after a while, I'm more breathless than usual & think it's worth trying a different one. Has anyone found this happened to them. I've read reviews on Trelegy, is anyone using this & do you find it any good. I have a consultation with my Dr next week & hoping he'll prescribe me something else. Here's hoping. Thank you all for some advice.

I have not used Trimbo or Trelegy, but my thought is, when you don't feel any benefit from your med, is it because you feel its not working as well in that your breathing is worse, or is it that you feel it should be continuing to improve your breathing?

For me just maintaining breathing is good, I don't expect my inhaler to continue improving breathing but if I feel my breathing is getting worse I would discuss with the doctor to see if now is the time to increase the strength of the medication so that there is some improvement in managing the symptoms.

If you aren’t happy with your medication you have the perfect opportunity next week to discuss it when you have your Dr’s appointment. I haven’t tried the medication you mention but I was on Braltus with great success for a while.After 9 months or so my breathing began to deteriorate and I developed a cough. I wasn’t sure if my copd was just progressing or whether the medication was no longer working as well. After talking to my Doctor he changed me to Fostair and within 2/3 days the cough cleared up and my breathing got better. It’s certainly worth asking your Doctor if you can try something else, good look I wish you well

I haven’t been on any of these meds but I was on RelvarvElipta for a year or so& was good, and then suddenly had a severe asthma attack. Got swapped to different meds in hospital, but I wondered the same! If it was just my body needing a change? I have no idea😂 but it’s possible I guess that we start getting used to meds etc?

I think so, but it's getting the Dr to agree. I know they are trained to a certain degree but I think you have to suffer with the illness to understand what the person is going through.

You don't say what you've got, but Trelegy is all wrong for brochiectasis. I was prescribed it by an asthma specialist. It made me worse.
