Thanks! I joined a local art group about 4 years ago. I dont consider myself a great artist but have always enjoyed drawing and painting. The guy who runs the group I call Mr Scary! He rubbished the first painting i did when I joined. I was so incensed that I determined to improve and I have!😂

It’s such a cheek when people rubbish you when you are just learning something! It doesn’t help with self confidence!

Well done,it must be very nice to be talented,something to fall back on when times are hard,i have been watching a series on the TV called 'the joy of painting' the guy presenting it Bob is like an old hippy complete with a mad afro hairdo and it's on bbc 4,he makes it look so easy .

I have just watched one of his videos! I record them. I love Bob Ross and have painted along with him several times. It's a shame he is no longer with us,he died in the 90s. Two of my granddaughters like him too and are learning to paint quite well.I dont use oils so have no need of thinners watercolour only.

Good painting Aingeful, I too like drawing and painting, although i havent done too much of it. I always thought I would have more time when I retired but somehow the days just disappear. I will try to make more time this winter. Although if I could find a local art group that would help, how did you find yours? Keep up your classes x

I was a member of the U3A ( University of the third age) Have you one where you are? One of the lady members started the group up. You could start your own? Just advertise for a few like minded people.Good luck! X
