I don't know what is wrong with me
I can't get up and go.
I've waited now so long for this
And now I'm free I know.
To visit all those places
That I've come to love so much
Which since this pesky virus
Have been totally out of touch.
Perhaps my ancient body
Has finally reached that stage
Where some things are impossible
Simply because of age.
But I have this little press-gang
That urge me to press on.
So maybe there is just a chance
That I shortly may be gone. (One way or another.)

Good morning Mr.D and there's very little chance of you going anywhere other than a trial run, see how you feel, drive in the motorhome with all 3 of your girls. The look on dear Midge's face, as Pantani says, just how could you not go out on a little trip to test the water(not) ? Oh I'm quite excited to think you might well be venturing out. I'm not so brave yet as i cant see my Dad as his Care Home has had it's 1st positive COVID19 result back from a temp staff member. So dad's on lockdown again. So Mr.D. when you are out driving along, may i just pretend I'm there, as i would love to be? 🐿🌈x

It is strange though, now that we're allowed our freedoms, the big wide world suddenly seems a scary place. Setting foot outside feels like being the first person to set foot on the moon, it's become a giant leap and requires a huge amount of self discipline to force oneself out the door.

I am wondering if along with wipes, gloves, mask / face shield and flask, if I might need to carry my grabber too although that is only about 4ft, I guess if you met someone also with a grabber you could shake hands with it x
PS don't forget to have fully charged phone with you also.

my phone gave up the ghost in march and EE cancelled it and kept the £20 couldnt sort it and tried April !st only to be strung along for a joke on the contact line so go out to find one that is not EE/ Trouble is I only want a pay as you go to take out when necessary./
grabber---- Mine would be more use to shake hands than do what it is supposed to do. !

Well I’m assuming Don that you did go out in the camper van. I’m sure you couldn’t disappoint Midge. She was clearly up for it. Hope you both enjoyed yourselves. There’s nothing like a change of scene to boost the spirits. I think you are close to the sea are you not? Nothing like a sea breeze on a hot day like today.

I know how you feel but I went to the coast for a few hours last Sunday, beach almost empty. Walked on the beach and paddled with Jasper.
Take it slowly and avoid crowds if you can and enjoy an adventure with your lovely Midge 🐶

Aww bless- lovely photo. I’m sure the girls have missed their adventures so far. Hopefully you will have one soon. I find Staying at home is very depressing. I long to go to the seaside however I’m getting more adventurous in my walks - no longer wearing out the patio or grass 🤣. XAnita

You know what you would advise others in a similar situation on the forum to do Don. Take the bull by the horns and go! It will become more and more difficult if you dont take that first step.
Please do it, you will feel all the better for a short trip with that little family of yours.
