Had Covid test

Hi everyone

I was told to get tested as I contribute to the covid app and it asks you to report how you feel daily. My breathing wasn’t great at the weekend so I put more breathless than usual no other symptoms - could have been the weather change, pollen - being indoors - whatever.... so they asked me to volunteer for the test which I did - at a centre and I did it in my car. Results came back under 24 hours negative - which didn’t surprise me but I suppose this is a sign of the times.

I went to see my daughter on Sunday who I haven’t seen face to face since January and I’ve been to the pharmacy and small co op so I’ve been out - and having the test after this makes me wonder?

I suppose avoiding large gatherings is key and keeping a distance.

Anyway still working from home need a holiday but that’s probably a health luxury or whatever.

Mollie posing as usual x

Scruff's thinks she is looking in a mirror until she spots the silky tail and wonders why hers is racoon style?

Makes sense the fewer people that you see and the safer distancing probably makes getting infected that much more unlikely, glad you tested negative though after your mini adventure. :)

No not when visiting daughter but yes in shops - probably a bit wreck less but it’s my daughter she lives alone and it was hard enough not to hug her . Not that I’m justioanything.

The masks limit my breathing 😩

I'm on holiday in october and it involves a three hour flight and masks are obligatory for now , ive got to admit to a little apprehension about this but I'm going to start wearing a mask around the house to get used to it , fingers crossed eh .

I have three types of masks some chuck always from boots - awful can’t breathe in them - one that is for cyclists with vents and two home made ones with cotton and filter inside ( these are breathable) the boots ones are awful !! Good luck I hope to go to Crete later this year?

Enjoy crete if you manage to get there, ive bought some hospital masks and I'm concidering punching a few extra holes in the front with a needle to allow extra air through ( it rather defeats the object of the masks doesn't it but if it helps physically and psychologically then it can only be good)

Thanks for the advice about the boots ones BTW

This holiday of mine is 8nly a long weekend Thursday to Tuesday to get back in the swing of things

Have a lovely day kate 😘

We are exempt though from wearing masks. But the mask doesn’t protect us either unless it’s a proper ppe type I know on amazon FFP RESPIRATORY MASK is the best for us - bit pricey though. Yes steer clear of those poxy disposable ones as they fall off and you end up touching them more than needed. I may invest in a proper one as I suspect we’ll be wearing them a long time. Enjoy your Trip 😁

I bought mine from a company online called Covaflu. They are FFP2 catagory.

I had some before covid because of fur allergies but bought more in lockdown.

I have found them very helpful if you have an queries.

My airline requires you to take a " fit to fly assesment" if you don't want to wear a mask 🙄 these tests start at £100 ( ouch) ,Your right though the nhs masks are poxy and tend to suffocate me , ( I've just been to the dentist, filling fell out , mind you it was put in the early 80s , you get what you pay for ) I think its trial and error time ,ill take 9ne that doesn't have me turning blue .
