Oxygen and air purifiers

Hi all just enquiring, my dad is on oxygen and has hayfever . Is it ok to use a air purifier alongside his oxygen.

Check with your Dad's oxygen supplier - perhaps have in mind the air purifier you are intending to use.

Hi, I'm on 02 all night COPD, I have a Table Top size Air Purifier in my Bedroom for two years, wouldn't be with out it, Can't see why not. I also have an Oxygen Plant, there are Many that Omit Oxygen which helps. Good Luck. C. XXX

Just to add, My Concentrator is separate in a Spare Bedroom with the Tubing access coming into my Bedroom, so they are not together, never thought of asking the Technician when I Purchased the Purifier. I am Happy with it the way it Does Purify the Air . xxx

I think you will find that your o2 concentrator is in itself a giant air purifier in that the air that enters it is purified and filtered and regulated to produce medical grade oxygen so i don't think he should have any problems with it,

i think you will need to ensure that the two devices are adequately seperated for health and safety reasons but your oxygen supplier should be able to advise you of all precautions to take and which machines are suitable for use.
