Fell twisting my ankles!

Walking down a slope in my front yard...next thing I’m imitating the “Flying Wallendas “🤣🤣

Actually it was painful & I thought I’d broken both ankles however the left only hurts a wee bit. The right is pretty painful. A sprain! I’m sure the neighbors were entertained by my athletic abilities at “63”. Who knew I could do a triple somersault....LOL

Ouch Maricopa! Maybe you should get your ankles checked over just to be sure it’s just a sprain.

Wishing you a good recovery. Xxxx

Oh definitely! I had a terrible night. Was in so much pain I felt feverish and had chills at times. Awful. I need crutches so it’s a little after 6am and I’m waiting to call my Dr!

Omg - go careful Maricopa, feel better soon.

Apart from staying bug free, we need to stay injury free too at this time.

😱 have you had it examined? Take care. Hope you’re not sore now for a few days A good excuse to sit with your legs elevated on a cushion. X Anita

My granddaughter did exactly the same thing last week on her 16th birthday, we thought she had sprained it went to hospital to have it checked, she had broken her ankle. So maybe you should just get it checked. Have a great day and take care 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈

I’m wondering too if it’s broke!

Poor you Maricopa. Be sure to take it easy, raising leg(s) important. Sometimes soft tissue injuries can take longer to heal than a fracture. I had several consecutive years where I kept injuring my right ankle with both fractures and sprains, all needing casts. I agree with people here saying you need checking.

I’m keeping it elevated.

Yes I did have a video appointment and my Dr. said I needed X-ray. Nothing is broke. Just a sprained ankle and knee twisted. She prescribed some 5-325 norco hydrocodone & told me to ice both the foot & knee. To keep the leg elevated. This morning it was excruciating. But after meds & ice it’s calming down.

((((Hugs)))). Hope you recover quickly.

About three years I had a lucky fall while walking down Bulkeley Hill in Cheshire and fell back on my backside with my right leg half folded under me. Squealed like a pig! When I got up, I found my right knee at last bent to 65 degrees after some 40 years of barely able managing 90 degrees. So at last I can walk with a sort of normal gait instead of having to raise my right hip, and I can go up and down stairs like other people now instead of going two feet on each step.
