Good evening one and all. Well I’m still in hospital. And the food is still the same nasty stuff.

Well, the docs decided it wasn’t pneumonia

but a Chest infection, not sure what the difference is so I plod one.

I’m still on oxygen my sats went down to 63 and was looking a bit blue doesn’t do ones look a lot of good.

Changed my iv antibioctis and as I was still feeling icky some anti icky stuff.

The next hurdle is to eat something whatever I fancy would be good

I ha be to day I have never felt as poorly as I have done this hosp stay

But we carry one as best we can and face time kitties which always brightens my day.

Love and hugs to all

J

Sending love and lots of good wishes your way. Hope you start to feel better soon judes. Thinking of you. Xxxxx

Sorry to hear this judes. I don’t know why hospitals can’t provide decent food. It’s so important for your recovery. The food at the Brompton is really quite good so why can’t they all do it? I hope those new IVs soon chase the bugs away & get you on the mend. Can someone drop off some snacks for you?

Judes, did they eventually test you for covid 19?or are the tests still a figment of peoples imagination, over a 100,000 a day and very few people know of anybody who has been tested?anyway it doesn't matter what label they put on your infection,i sincerely hope they clear it with the nasty ab's or better still find some not so nasty ab's and that inbetween facetime sessions with the kitties you get your appetite back and are presented with appetising food, get home soon those kitties need you. :)

Best wishes Ski's and Scruff's x

My mother’s had one! But that’s cos she’s in hospital with broken bones & has developed a chest infection so they had to do one really. It was negative 👍 Don’t forget we were told it’d be 200,000 tests by 1 June. They’ve gone a bit quiet on that. But all they need do is pick 100,00 names at random from the London phone books, post them out, & Robert’s your relative. I’m sure that’s what Mr Hancock did with his 40,000 at the end of May! Which magically fulfilled his target.

Sorry to hear about your mum. Broken bones are no joke for the elderly. I do hope she makes a full recovery.

My friend’s Mum who lives in a care home was tested and was positive. Luckily she was asymptomatic but my friend had to isolate for 14 days. So that’s 2 tests 🤔

In sad to hear you’re still in hospital, but if they’re keeping you in you must need the care.

They told me that a chest infection is confined to your chest.a lung infection is classed as pneumonia.

I have learnt this on my journey through lung disease

The hospital food, well it will be worse now if it’s still no. Visitors.

You need to be a bit careful what you order, yogurts, fruit, cheese and crackers are fine you can eat them when you fancy.

Is there anyone who can drop you a job lot of snacks.drinks etc.

Hopefully you’ll hav had tea and biscuits by now.

Are care

I'm really sorry to hear this. Sending you lots of good wishes and hoping things start to improve a bit soon. I agree with Hanne about hospital food. Why is it so bad in some hospitals? One time I had a similar conversation with some one about hospital food and he sneeringly said, it's not a restaurant is it. No, it's not. Even more reason to have nourishing food when it's a hospital because diet and nutrition play a huge role in health and wellness.

That's so true ,dislike hospital food almost as much as having blood gases done.

When poorly, nutritious food ,hot if possible and nicely presented makes all the difference.

Not a congealed shapeless mess or rock hard stale sarnie......
