I went to see the doctor just before lockdown, and told him my Oxygen levels keep dropping to 83 ,so he put me on paracetamol, anyway when I decided to make another appointment I wasn't allowed to visit doctor because I had to shield at home ,one morning I was having problems with breathing as my Oxygen levels dropped to 79 I called an ambulance, the paramedics were amazing they gave me Oxygen,I don't have any immune system,so it wasn't advisable for me to go to the hospital,I didn't want to go anyway my Oxygen levels soon rose to 92 .they told me to call my doctor which I did he then put me on a syrup and a new inhaler,he called me on Friday asking how I was I said not much better so he said he would send me a Nasal spray and would call me in two weeks. I am also suffering with anxiety which doesn't help me no use in speaking to the doctor.

When I call the surgery I always feel as so I am a burden to them .there's no one I can really speak too.i feel totally alone, I am 71 years old

Hi Susan, I must admit I’d have thought you would have had better care from your doctor. Keep in at him and try and speak to another doctor perhaps.

I hope things improve for you. Xxx

Oh Susan, 😕

I'm sorry you aren't doing so well. But you ARE NOT a burden. You are a patient. You know, someone they are paid to look after. I find writing down exactly what I want to say to the doctor helps me when I feel anxious. You must ring them when you need to. If you stay quiet , they will think everything is fine.

I hope you feel better very soon.

Much love to you,

Cas xx 💐

Remember, the squeaky hinge gets the oil! So go back to your doctor and get it sorted.

You are definitely not a burden, and please try to stay strong and not let any UNprofessionals make you feel like that. Do tell your GP about your anxiety so that he can prescribe something that will help. Sassy has given you the BLF helpline number above, and that's definitely worth doing. I hope you feel better soon, but do keep asking for help when you need it. All best wishes x

You are not a burden and shouldn't be made to feel like like you are. I hope things improve for you soon.

Never feel like a burden and as for telling you to take paracetamol for low saturation well words fail me no idea what that's supposed to achieve. Like others have said best to tell Dr about anxieties & don't suffer in silence. All the best
