To my knowledge aerosure is not offered as an alternative to prescribed inhalers by NHS and GPs.

There was a time you could ask for the aerosure medic on prescription, it would be down to the GP if they will prescribe it or not. For some it would just not be suitable. I was once prescribed aerosure medic in addition to inhalers not as an alternative.

I think it is undergoing clinical trials. I read about this a while ago. It was found to be safe in healthy people and they were going to trial it with people with copd and other respiratory conditions. They did have good results and on the back of that I bought one. Problem is I have never used it regularly, just now and again. I don’t like the noise or the vibration I get in my chest.

This post might serve as a reminder to use it regularly.

If it were to be prescribed, this device would be in addition to your normal inhalers.
