Face mask project part 1

Well, I was all set to try making a face mask, pieces are all cut out ready, when I got a message on Friday from brother who lives in an assisted living facility with his wife who is paralysed down her left side following a brain stem stroke. Anyway, he’d decided he wanted to give her carers thank you cards, all 22 of them. All the cards need to incorporate the rainbow theme and 12 needed to be personalised. Not much to ask 🙄

So, the sewIng went back in the basket and for the last three days I’ve been busy making thank you cards.

All finished and ready to send. These are the personalised ones.

Hard work but so satisfying! I had to buy some masks as Im useless at sewing. They say double teeshirt material is good.

Oh wow!! They are beautiful MissKota . I can't see very well but are those ribbons you used? They are going to be so thrilled! Well done. xx 👋😁

No, I used coloured card strips. The rainbow name rings are on ribbon fastened to a pin so they can be removed from the card and pinned to whatever.

It’s very therapeutic making cards isn’t it. I make them for all my friends and family.

So do I, I used to sell them in a local garden centre cafe but the fun goes out of when your asked for 10 baby cards! I mainly paint now but still make special cards for friends and family. On my lockdown to do list is tidy card stuff. It's a nightmare!!😂
