Hi my name is christine, this is the first time I have wrote on this, I have copd and have been reading some of your post. During lockdown I have had people checking up on me to see if I am okay and need anything, people have been so kind.

Hi. Christine

Welcome I have copd to how long have you being diagnosed.

I was diagnosed 2008 I gradually got worse 3 years when I was hospitalised. What do you like to get up to.

I have had copd for eight years now, but coping well. I work as a teaching assistant but get very tired although I enjoy my job.

I loved my job working with children I was a childminder for 28 years. So much fun. But I had so exacerbations it got to stage where I couldnt run with them. A lot of tears from me and the little ones who had been with me from 8 weeks. I do see them and talk on face time. Our daughter is an early years teacher and also loves children.

It is very rewarding working with children but like you say I pick up lots of colds from them and that leads to chest infections, but I just plod on with it x
