Hi my GP has diagnosed me with pleurisy for a 3rd time in 2 years. I'm now on the last day of antibiotics but it's no better and the stabbing pain is constant now not just when I breath in and is went from just being in by back to the front of my chest. I was booked in on the 2and of April for a CT scan but was cancelled due to the current covid situation. So I guess my question is does these symptoms sound typical of pleurisy or may this be something different?

Hi Peg I would ring 111 to check with them just to be safe. It could be pleurisy but better to be safe than sorry. I hope you get an answer and some help x
