Hi Hun, I take my two (Both Steroid Based) every 12 hours, so 6am then 6pm, I take Ventolin as often as I need (quite a lot) Check with your GP & The Instructions. I'm also on Oxygen. Good luck. Happy Easter. Stay Safe. xxx C

I always take Ventolin a couple of minutes before taking my steroid inhalers to open up the airways.

Do you suffer from Reflux at all? I used to have a similar problem that caused me to become more breathless in the evening and at night. It turned out the problem was caused by acid reflux which is a common thing with people who suffer with asthma and COPD. I was put on lansoprazole which reduces acid production in the stomach and my breathing improved within days. It may be nothing but I would ask especially if your breathing is worse after food or any kind of carbonated drinks.

Yes you might be right ..when do you take your lanzsoprazol ???

I take mine first thing in the morning at least 30 minutes before eating. However my doctor has told me if my symptoms are bad it’s okay to take one in the morning and one before bed but only on a temporary basis. I would consult your doctor before doing this though as I am not qualified to give that kind of advice. I think it depends on the individual patient. But it did work for me.

I have found that as well, especially after food. I find trying to eat small amounts helps.

i have hay fever from the tree pollen and evenings are the worst time for me, do u think this could be affecting you?

What are you doing in the hour or so before this happens? Are you drinking wine for instance? Tree pollen is high at the moment. Reflux is a possibility as mentioned before, but more likely to happen once you are lying down.

If you can't find a trigger just top up with a couple of puffs of salbutamol in the evening and talk to your GP when you can.

It might be temperature change. Its right could be acid reflux certain foods can cause it and its dinner time around then maybe you just ate also.

A full stomach and perhaps a bit of gas caused from digestion can also put pressure on your lungs and make you feel a bit more breathless.

I take mine morning and evening. Fostair and Salamol, plus Braltas which is morning only.
