carbocisteine
Hello, I understand that Carbocisteine is a tablet you tale a few times a day to help remove the build up of mucous in your lungs. You don't mention if you have any other lung disease apart from sepsis and double pneumonia. The pneumonia would have left you with a lot of mucous in your lungs. Unless it's cleared it would leave you open to further infections. The Carbocisteine will help to thin the mucous to enable you to bring it up.
Hope this helps.

It would depend on a number of things. I do not think anyone could safely advise you. It should be talked over with your doctor. Obviously if you are not bringing up great amounts of mucus then it is perhaps something your doctor my stop to see how you get on. I had bilateral pneumonia and sepsis 3 years ago but luckily never had a mucus problem.

Hi, well I they really do help so it is worth taking them. I lost my partner nearly 2 years ago but was his carer for a good few years. The tablets do work and I would stick with them till you next see the specialist.
Good luck.
HI, I am on these twice a day, they make it much easier to clear your chest. I have been on them for two years, don't give me any problems
