In a Q&A session on Sky News at 6pm, Dr Zoe Williams (a practising GP also from “Trust Me I’m A Doctor”) told a caller with Interstitial Lung Disease & on immunosuppressants that in her opinion she should be on the shielding list.
She then said that of the 1.5m people who should be shielded, 0.9m had been written to directly by NHS England, but that left 600,000 who would be contacted either by their hospital or GP. She advised anyone concerned to contact their GP who could “print off the letter” for them, but GPs might need a few days to get up to speed on this.
Hmm. I thought fellow members missed off the list might be interested!
