Does anyone know whether Dove bars are as good as soap in the current conditions of hand-washing during coronavirus? The box says 'beauty cream bar'. Is that soap or not?

Apparently the coronavirus is lipid based. So anything that breaks down fat will be very effective, including Dove soap. That's why soap and water are much more effective than hand sanitiser.

That's interesting. So why do Dove call it a cream beauty bar? I have a feeling that there is a subtle (legal?) reason. We need a lawyer! (Never thought I would say that!)

It’s a marketing strategy

Sounds better than soap to the target customers I would think
