Please can someone tell me where this letter is coming from. My daughter has just started being under the brompton as well as the local hospital. The brompton have called her to say she is in that catagory and it will be coming from the local hospital. Ive called them and they say no they're not doing them it's the gp. I've called them to and guess what no not them either.

My daughters condition is quite rare and she is concerned she will be overlooked and not get 1 at all.

I’m the same as your daughter ie RBH & local hospital. I’ve had texts & letters from

NHS & understand the information was provided by my surgery. In fact I’m pretty sure this is the case.

She has had no texts or letters from the nhs, which is adding to her concern that shes lady in limbo between services

In the meantime you can register your daughter here gov.uk/coronavirus-extremel...

Hi my letter had my gp surgery address on it. I think everyone is supposed to have them by the 29th of this month.

I had a text from nhs corona virus service followed by a letter from my surgery a few days later.

I believe both the following will be helpful:

nhs.uk

and

nhs.uk/nhsapp You have to register and provide photo evidence (passport or drivers licence). There is a 4 day wait owing to demand while they access your docs. I’m waiting and will then find out if l’m on the essential list.

Let me know how you get on. My daughter is wary in case it is a scam website been set up and if it is they will steal your identity.

Hi, my daughter (staff nurse) has confirmed the website & App are authentic. I have also contacted the actual NHS website this morning, which you can go to on here, and l’m awaiting their response. Hope this puts your mind at ease. You are right of course to query anything received from the World Wide Web.

Stay safe & l will also advise the NHS response.

If anyone has a query, at the start of this forum you’ll see a small box stating ‘Latest NHS advise’, click on that and look for NHSAPP. Click on this and you can ask for advise - this is what l have just done to confirm the two websites that have been queried. At my age 79 and probably most of us here, it is easy to forget genuine information we may have received earlier.

It's so frustrating, with 2 hospitals and the gp all saying g it's not them

Understand your concern. As my daughter and granddaughter are nurses l will confirm with them tomorrow and get back to you. I will also check with another reliable source.

Hi

I know exactly how your daughter is feeling. I have ABPA, asthma, pseudomonas and bronchitis and haven’t received a letter. I have absolutely no idea where it’s coming from or indeed if I’ll get one. So frustrating when people say “On it’s not us it’s them”. Just do as I’m doing self- isolating because I know that I’m at serious risk.

I hope your daughter gets her letter soon.

Take care

I am beginning to doubt that this letter is coming. I have very severe COPD and just came out of hospital 2 weeks ago but I have had no letter. Maybe the fact that no one expected me to survive has something to do with it in my case. :)

That's probably not the case at all. It seems that lots of people haven't got the letter. Perhaps we should contact the bbc to highlight this?

That might be an idea. Maybe they have abandoned the idea altogether as they have been overtaken by events?

I have just found but it wont load the screen shot, on gov.uk, that if anyone who hasnt received a letter by the 29th to discuss concerns with gp or hospital clinician..

So back to calling the same people again next week!

That sounds like a really good idea 💡

I know! This is a very stressful time. However, you have survived and will continue to do so. I feel really stressed and frustrated- looking for the letter that isn’t coming.

Take care and isolate.

My letter came from NHS England along with text messages to tell me i was at risk. Have you received the texts? I know a few people from my PR group have not got the letter but have the text messages.
