We went shopping today and three people wanted to stop and talk but i said i will not stop as it is advised not to do, their faces was a treat but i have to look after myself, i have stopped all visitors coming to my house and there is no exceptions, i did see a post that Jehovah witnesses are working from home that made me laugh, sorry if that offends anyone, i did see a man coughing really bad outside a shop today but he kept the cigarette in his mouth now that is will power, Well thats all, keep well and safe everyone

You’re doing the right thing by keeping yourself safe. My son in law came round today and he made me laugh by shouting “stay back!” as he got out the car. We did keep our distance though. Xxxx

You MUST do what's right for you. End of. Don't worry about it. xx 👋

Well JWs do often use the telephone Bobby. 😘

They use the phone, email, letter writing. It’s all at their own expense. They are doing what they feel is kindness to their neighbors. If ones aren’t interested it’s quite easy to politely say I’m not interested or I have my own religion. They really aren’t their to annoy.

Maricopa, I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, as is my daughter and 2 of my grandsons. Also many of my friends. Our lives are based on the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is why we show love not just for one another, but for our neighbours too. 🌺

We are all doing fine. Isolated. The bros are taking excellent care and bring us everything we could need. Dropping it off outside on our porch. How are you managing the self distancing?

in reply to Maricopa

We are self isolating, but have help from neighbours. I will message you later today. Sending love to you. 😘

Like wise we have cancelled or postponed all visist by friends to our home and our visits to thiers. My wife leaves to shop where ever she can find what we need and other wise we stay indors. As the weather gets warmer we will go out in the car and park up by the sea with a flask of coffee but that will be it until furh notice.

Very funny about the JW's!!!

The sad thing about self-isolation is that at a time when the elderly (and young alike) most need comfort and a friendly face, we have to turn away. No hugs, no cuddles, no warm embrace. Our dear Queen has exhorted all of us to work as "one"! Fat chance of that! Need my vital space, don't you? (I know I am being a bit sarcastic here).

Seriously though, first, I love and admire the Queen. She has weathered so much throughout her long and productive life and been an example and inspiration to us all. Secondly, it seems, that everywhere you turn, it is each man for himself. Buut what else can the likes of us do! Like you bobbyfloyd (sounds like body fluid!) I am not in a hurry to clog up a bed in ICU. God bless you all. Stay safe. Keep well! xxxx

I know furelise

I have not seen my grandchildren and children in the last 10 days. It is very hard but my children want us elderly to keep safe. We can only hope this will not last too long because we miss them and cannot wait to hug and kiss them again.

Keep safe. xxx

You are right. We should try to keep distance these days... I know it sounds awful but it is strictly necessary. Take care. xxx

Isolation day 4 , we are both in total isolation ,no shopping or visitors ,it's strange to say the least , got excited when next door popped her head over the fence "yey a human " she'd guessed what we were doing and stayed well back . We are so lucky ,shopping gets delivered via friends and left in the porch and we facetime the grandchildren and my brother . I don't call this being selfish, I call it being caring ,I care about not getting it and passing it to my grandchildren or any of my family . Plus side ...garden looks great and will soon be full of veg to share very soon . ..hubby works well with a spade ..who knew 😉 Stay safe folks 😘😘 xx

Thank you 😘 This is without doubt the hardest thing I've done ,it's tough relying on others for your existence..was hoping to manage with online shopping ,well that all went wrong ,no meat no milk no bread no flour no cereal ...I'm now attempting bread making and the freezer is dwindling fast ....am hoping the outside madness slows so we that are isolated can manage . It's scary but my seeds are now seedlings and I've worked out 🤞 we will be free for the start of fishing season , hubby's earnt a fishing session ..bless him 🎣 No sign of any chest infections either ,have emergency steroids and antibiotics just incase anyways ...stay positive stay safe and look after yourselves . Love n luck xx
