It occurred to me that these unprecedented events are not only worrying to me, but to you too.

Some of you will be bunkering down to ride out the storm.

Some of you will be saying, when your numbers up your numbers up so what the hell - life is for living, not hiding away

Some of you will be flip flopping between the above two wondering what on earth to do for the best- especially those who have other people involved in their lives.

Some of you may have washed your hands so much that your now need buckets of handcream!

Of course each of you have your own thoughts, fears, plans ( or lack of them) no body is wrong as we all need to steer our own personal course and adjust our plans as needed plans.

Why don't we by virtue of this post just post what we feel and see how it goes? We can offer comfort, maybe advise, but most importantly contact to somebody outside your own thoughts.

but what ever, you wont feel so isolated and a voice in the dark

Is that a good idea dodgy lung people?

thank you Patsy... that's what I am hoping this will be all about. I know that we all are anxious for many different reasons, but sometimes voicing that speaking that fear or worry it lessens its grip, especially when you find a kindred soul who too shares a similar burdon

Very true ledge when we get something off our chests it certainly helps. Also with jokes as ski has just added makes things better. Also good tips on my local community on Facebook, everyone is helping each other and one lady offered her services to get elderly people’s shopping if they have the virus or just can’t get out. As Boris said we need to help each other in these troubling times.

I think it’s a great idea ledge! I just watched the news and there were fears that Britains’s not doing enough, here in Australia it’s all too late , blah, blah, blah! It’s all very depressing and conflicting. I find it so hard to hear people say that the coronavirus is nothing to worry about at all - because for us - the lung-challenged - it’s a very big deal indeed. I work in a Junior/Senior. School. Just a couple of days ago one of the teachers sitting next to me in the staff room casually complained that she has to make the time to get a coronavirus test because she hadn’t felt well since a flight on a recent school trip. She said that because she was with so many kids on the trip (also many of them came back sick) she felt it was hardly worth it. My blood ran cold. - and I couldn’t sleep that night worrying about it all. Besides me with lung disease, there are many on our staff who would be at jeopardy with coronavirus - a young teacher with Type 1 diabetes, another teacher with autoimmune issues etc. I’m praying that schools get closed down soon . Groups over 500 people have been cancelled in Australia - surely schools should be too?!! Work has always been my sanctuary but now I feel like retiring. Thanks ledge for letting me vent! 😂

That just letting vent, is enough to dampen down that awful gnawing anxiety which is so bad for us. Vent free dear one - Vent free

Thank you Bernadette.. lets hope that this is a much used outlet for us. My anxiety levels are all over the place - its like I am on a high dose of steroids..... I suspect a few of us may be feeling that same and that cant be good for us ( or our immune systems) Every now and then I calm down and get on with it. Like now for instance.

Thank you ledge that’s a good idea. I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday after our Prime Minister’s speech but feel much better today. I have to keep things in perspective.

We’re not watching much News so that’s helping too. I will keep myself and Pete safe.

You take care xxxx

I was alright until then, and suddenly I fell off the cliff.... but hey ho, I either stay at the bottom in a dark pit, or I try and crawl up... and upwards is the only way to go. :-) I am sure you will both look after each other.. You are inspirational x

This is a great site to belong to, we can share our worries, ask advice and rant if we need to, along with all our comedians that help us through. With this self isolation I think we will need it more in the coming months x

Well from one dodgy lung person to another and another etc, lots of thoughts come and go, a sort of acceptance one minute then what if, don’t want to a pain, what’s to be will be and on and on it goes. its great having time to catch up on bits and pieces, catch up on crafts and painting that I have been putting off, and replenishing stock that I cant afford but hey ho who knows I might produce something really special. It’s wonderful to see the sun feel the fresh air and listen to the birds, I’m just grateful for what ever time I have left love and virtual hugs go out to you all. Stay safe none of us are truly alone.
